Van, VIP Van or Minibus? Choosing the Right Vehicle for Your Group in Morocco
Premium SUV, Mercedes Vito, Fiat Scudo, VIP Ford Tourneo Custom or our 17-seat VIP minibus? Compare capacity, luggage space and comfort to choose the right vehicle for your trip.

When you book private transport in Morocco, one of the first questions is: which vehicle? The answer matters more than you might think. Too small, and you spend the journey with suitcases on your knees; too large, and you pay for empty seats. This guide presents the vehicles we actually drive every day — from a premium SUV for two to our 17-seat VIP minibus — so you can choose with confidence. Every photo on this page shows our own vehicles.
The two key questions
Before comparing vehicles, answer two questions:
- How many passengers? Count everyone, including babies and children: all need a seat, and child seats take space.
- How much luggage? Count large suitcases, cabin bags, pushchairs, golf bags, surfboards and anything bulky.
Luggage is the most frequently underestimated factor. A vehicle that seats seven people comfortably may not take seven people and fourteen bags. When in doubt, send us the list — we will tell you honestly what fits.
Premium SUV (Skoda Kodiaq or Kia Sorento) — 1 to 4 passengers
For couples and small families travelling light, a premium SUV is the most discreet and comfortable option. It is ideal for a stylish airport pick-up, an evening out or a day in the Agafay desert, where its ground clearance is welcome on the stony tracks.
- Best for: couples, honeymoons, business travellers, small families
- Luggage: about 4 large suitcases plus cabin bags
- Limits: not designed for big groups or bulky equipment
Comfort vans (Mercedes Vito or Fiat Scudo) — up to 8 passengers
Our black Mercedes Vito and brand-new Fiat Scudo are the workhorses of the fleet. Air-conditioned, spacious and easy to get in and out of thanks to sliding doors, they are the most popular choice for families and groups of friends.
- Best for: families, groups of friends, airport transfers, day trips
- Luggage: about 7–8 large suitcases with a full load, more with fewer passengers
- Limits: less premium than our VIP van; very bulky equipment may need the minibus
VIP van (Ford Tourneo Custom) — up to 6 passengers
Our VIP Ford Tourneo Custom is the executive choice. Inside, individual captain seats, extra legroom, tinted windows and a quiet, smooth ride make long journeys feel short.
Inside our VIP Ford Tourneo Custom: individual seats and plenty of legroom.
- Best for: honeymoons, VIP arrivals, business travel, long journeys over the Atlas
- Luggage: about 6 large suitcases with 6 passengers
- Limits: fewer seats than a comfort van, for a higher level of comfort
VIP minibus (Renault Master) — 8 to 17 passengers
For larger groups, our black VIP minibus keeps everyone together. High roof, reclining leather seats, large windows for the scenery, a step with a handrail at the door and a dedicated luggage area at the back.
Our VIP minibus: reclining leather seats for groups of up to 17.
- Best for: extended families, weddings, incentive groups, golf and surf groups, school trips
- Luggage: a dedicated compartment for around 15–17 large suitcases
- Limits: cannot enter the narrowest medina streets — but neither can any car

Quick comparison
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large suitcases | Comfort |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium SUV | 1–4 | about 4 | ★★★★ |
| Comfort van (Vito / Scudo) | up to 8 | 7–8 | ★★★ |
| VIP van (Tourneo Custom) | up to 6 | about 6 | ★★★★★ |
| VIP minibus (Master) | 8–17 | 15–17 | ★★★★ |
Simple rule of thumb:
- 1–3 passengers, standard luggage: premium SUV or comfort van
- 4–6 passengers: comfort van (value) or VIP van (comfort)
- 7–8 passengers: comfort van
- 9–17 passengers: VIP minibus
- More than 17: two vehicles, or the minibus plus a luggage van
What about the price per person?
Our prices are per vehicle, not per person, so the more seats you fill, the cheaper each seat becomes:
- A VIP van costs more than a comfort van, but divided among four or five travellers the difference is often small.
- The VIP minibus costs more than a van, but divided among fifteen people it is usually the cheapest option per head — and the group stays together.
See typical rates in our price guide or on each service page.
Special cases
- Surfboards and golf bags: they need the minibus or the boot of an emptier van. Tell us how many in advance.
- Wheelchairs and reduced mobility: the minibus step and handrail, or the low floor and sliding doors of the vans, make boarding easier. Read our accessible travel guide.
- Babies and young children: child seats are free on request; each one takes a seat.
- Honeymoons and special occasions: the VIP van or the premium SUV add a touch of luxury that makes the arrival memorable.
Comfort features worth asking about
All our vehicles are air-conditioned, non-smoking and regularly cleaned, with seat belts at every seat and bottled water on board. When you book, mention anything that matters to you — child seats, a quiet driver, a French-speaking driver, stops for photos — and we will plan for it.
Our recommendation
Choose for luggage first, then comfort. If you hesitate between two vehicles, take the larger one: a little extra space turns a long drive into a pleasant part of the trip. Still unsure? Send your group size and luggage via the booking form or WhatsApp, and we will suggest the best option — and compare the whole fleet on our fleet page.
