What to Expect from a Meet & Greet Service at Moroccan Airports
From the name sign in the arrivals hall to the door of your hotel: how a professional meet & greet transfer works in Marrakech, Casablanca and Agadir, step by step.

"Meet & greet" is one of those travel phrases everybody has heard but few people know exactly what to expect from. In Morocco, it's the difference between stepping out of customs into a crowd of strangers, and stepping out to see a smiling face holding a sign with your name. Here's what a professional meet & greet transfer includes at Marrakech, Casablanca and Agadir airports — and how to make the most of it.
Before you travel: the confirmation
A good service starts days before you land. After booking, you should receive a written confirmation including:
- the date, time and flight number,
- the pick-up and drop-off addresses,
- the vehicle type and number of passengers,
- the fixed price and payment method,
- a WhatsApp number to reach the team 24/7.
Usually on the day before arrival, you also receive your driver's name and phone number. Save it in your contacts so you can recognise his messages.
Flight tracking: the invisible part
From the moment you take off, your flight number is tracked. If the plane is early, the driver is there early; if it's delayed by an hour, he adjusts. You don't need to send updates — although a quick WhatsApp message when you land ("Landed, waiting for bags") is always appreciated and helps the driver time things perfectly.
Waiting time included
Passport control and baggage reclaim can take a while, particularly at Casablanca Mohammed V or during peak season in Marrakech. That's why our service includes free waiting time after landing: 60 minutes at Marrakech and Agadir, 90 minutes at Casablanca. If a suitcase is lost and you need to file a claim, just let us know — we'll wait.
The meeting point
Each airport has its own layout:
- Marrakech Menara (RAK): drivers wait just outside the customs exit in the arrivals hall, behind the barrier. Look for your name among the signs.
- Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN): the arrivals hall is large; drivers usually stand near the exit of the customs area, before the cafés.
- Agadir Al Massira (AGA): a smaller airport — your driver will be right in front of the exit doors.
The sign shows your name (or your company or group name for events). Never follow someone who asks "Are you Mr X?" without showing a sign — a professional driver will tell you your name and hotel, not ask for them.
Help with luggage
Your driver will take charge of your trolley and guide you to the vehicle in the car park, usually just a few minutes' walk. He loads everything carefully — including fragile items, golf bags or surfboards — and checks that nothing is left behind.
Useful stops before leaving
A good driver anticipates what newcomers need:
- Cash: if you haven't withdrawn dirhams yet, he can show you the ATMs in the terminal.
- SIM card: operators have desks in the arrivals hall; a tourist SIM with data takes a few minutes.
- Water and snacks: there's always water in the vehicle; for anything else, he can stop at a shop on the way.
On the road
During the drive, you can ask anything: how much to tip in restaurants, whether a taxi price is fair, the best time to visit Jardin Majorelle, or where to eat tagine like a local. Our drivers speak French and English, and many also speak some Spanish or German. If you'd rather rest, they'll leave you in peace — the choice is yours.
Arriving at your hotel or riad
At a hotel, the driver drops you at the entrance and hands your luggage to the porters. At a Medina riad, he parks at the nearest access point and makes sure you're handed over to a riad staff member or trusted porter. He'll call the riad in advance so someone is waiting. Is meet & greet worth it?
For a solo backpacker who loves the adventure of negotiating, maybe not. But for:
- first-time visitors to Morocco,
- families with children and lots of luggage,
- business travellers with tight schedules,
- late-night arrivals,
- groups and events with several flights,
it's the most relaxing way to land in a new country. And because the price is per vehicle, the cost per person is often close to a taxi. Compare in our article how to avoid taxi scams at Marrakech airport.
VIP extras on request
For special occasions — honeymoons, anniversaries, executives — we can add a Ford Tourneo Custom with leather captain seats, cold towels, a bouquet of flowers or a welcome sign with a personal message. Just ask when booking.
